Angel Cui
Beckman High School
Angel graduated from Arnold O. Beckman High School with a 4.59 GPA and will be attending Cornell University this fall. Although she was quite focused on academics throughout high school, that was hardly the entirety of how she spent her time. She is passionate about serving her community, whether by teaching younger students about STEM or coordinating service events that encourage future leaders. She dedicates her time to supporting others however she can.
Angel is incredibly grateful to receive this Tustin Scholarship, as it will allow her to pursue her degree and delve deeper into what she believes is her purpose: engineering solutions to problems that real people face. Inspired by what Tustin Scholarships has accomplished for students in the community, she hopes to continue her dedication to learning and helping others. She sincerely thanks Tustin Scholarships for making it possible for her to pursue her dreams.
Hailey Gonzalez
Tustin High School
Hailey graduated from Tustin High School with a weighted GPA of over 4.0. She was involved in Friday Night Live as Vice President, AVID, CSF, National Honor Society, Co-Manager of ComedySportz, and Co-Vice President of Theater. She also received awards including Superintendent's and Principal's Honor Roll, California Scholarship Federation, and Tiller of the Quarter.
Apart from her studies, Hailey volunteered with a nonprofit dog organization caring for dogs awaiting adoption, participated in NHS Tutoring, and served at community events including Tiller Days, the Fourth of July Parade, the Chili Cook-Off, and the THS Graduation Ceremony.
This fall, Hailey will attend Cal State Fullerton to study Cinema and Television Arts. She is truly appreciative of this scholarship, which will allow her to pursue her academic and career goals. She is sincerely grateful for Tustin Scholarships' generosity and investment in her future.
Jacob Russo
Foothill High School
Jacob graduated from Foothill High School with a 3.73 GPA and will continue his academic journey at the University of Utah, majoring in Civil Engineering. At Foothill, he was a four-year member of the football team, played two years of golf, and completed the school's four-year engineering career pathway, where he designed and built golf clubs while taking multiple AP-level courses.
Jacob was a member of the Boys Community Service League, volunteering more than 200 hours while serving as Vice President and Secretary. Through the organization, he volunteered with nonprofits throughout Tustin, including Tustin Scholarships.
Jacob is very appreciative and honored to receive this scholarship. With much of his college tuition being paid by him and his family, this support means a great deal. He sincerely thanks Tustin Scholarships for supporting his academic journey.
Ryan CariCari
Foothill High School
Ryan attended Foothill High School and is an aspiring Mechanical Engineer who will be attending Cuesta College this fall, with plans to transfer to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He enjoys staying involved in his community through volunteer work and leadership opportunities and values hard work, service, and giving back to others.
Ryan is incredibly grateful to receive this scholarship, as it will help support his education and bring him one step closer to achieving his goals. He sincerely thanks Tustin Scholarships for investing in his future.
Tyer Dunn
Foothill High School
Tyler graduated from Foothill High School with a 4.5 GPA and will attend San José State University this fall to study Electrical Engineering. Throughout high school, he accumulated over 1,000 volunteer service hours through organizations including the Boy Scouts of America, Assistance League of Tustin, Sunburst Youth Military Academy, the American Red Cross, and his church.
Tyler is grateful to Tustin Scholarships for selecting him for this scholarship, which will support his tuition and housing expenses while he lives on campus.
Rykyn Fann
Foothill High School
Rykyn graduated from Beckman High School with a 4.0 unweighted GPA and will be attending Cornell University this fall. She enjoys giving back by tutoring students in math, mentoring teens in leadership and communication skills, and helping out wherever she can.
Receiving this scholarship will help Rykyn focus on her education while continuing to make a positive impact on others. She sincerely thanks Tustin Scholarships for its generosity and for believing in students like her.
